Phillippa O'Neill

Educated at Loughborough High School and Emmanuel College, Cambridge, Phillippa spent the first part of her career at City firm Ashurst where she completed her training contract. She went on to specialise in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, advising large corporate organisations and public bodies on a broad spectrum of contentious matters, sometimes involving cross-border issues.  She subsequently moved back to Leicestershire and worked for Howes Percival in Leicester for 6 years before joining Spearing Waite in January 2013. 

Phillippa has extensive experience of litigating in the High Court and County Courts  and she has successfully settled disputes via alternative dispute resolution means such as mediation, arbitration and expert determination.  Her current caseload is varied including large breach of contract and warranty claims, professional negligence, construction, employment and defamation matters.  Phillippa  is also a governor of Loughborough Endowed Schools.

Interests:  Skiing, Reading, Theatre and Films.

Favorite sport:  Rowing, Rugby, Tennis.

Favorite team:  Leicester Tigers, Cambridge University Boat Club.
